Guidelines

Crash Issue #3 reading period: Sept. 15 – Dec. 15, 2010.

Writers can submit once per reading period.

Each submission may include 1-10 works, but the total word count of the works included must not exceed 3,000 words. For example, you could send one short story that is within 3,000 words, or three flash fiction stories that are within 1,000 words each. You could also send up to ten poems or prose pieces if their combined total falls within the 3,000 word range.

When submitting, attach a single Word document to your email with all works included in the file. Otherwise, paste your works directly into the body of the email. Use a size 12 Georgia font. Include your full name and the combined word count of your works at the top of the document or in the email.

Please don't include an author biography with your submission, a simple greeting in the email is okay. We’re interested mainly in the content of your writing. If we decide your work is acceptable for publication in Crash, you’ll then have the opportunity to send a brief author biography of up to 100 words.

We'll read your work, make a decision, and contact you during the reading period.

Simultaneous submissions are permitted. Please contact us if your works have been accepted by another publication during our reading period.
